Study the page and look for overlapping text boxes or pictures that might be pushing text down and out of the text box. I think you may have solved the problem of miss aligned columns. What happens if you create a new publication from scratch on the Win8 machine?Дo you create your columns with 'tabbing'? If so what happens if you create a table instead? Was it created on a machine with an older operating system? Was this publication created in an older version of Publisher? No, but I think problem is happening before the printing phase of the process.

Have you checked for an updated driver for your current printer? Have tried XPS printing/merge and works ok. What happens if you print to the XPS printer? You do have the problem if you actually print out a hard copy?ДЄ hard copy printout is formatted exactly the same as the merged document appears on the screen - ie same errors are in both

You do not have this problem if you convert/merge the Publisher file to a PDF file using the Office PDF function? The examples are screen grabs from the merged document as produced by publisher mail merge - not from printouts. To be clear the examples of 'merged document' is a scan of a printed page and not merged to PDF?
